I am a full-time emergency physician and part-time professional photographer. My love may be emergency medicine, but my passion is definitely photography!
My daughter jokes that I have seen all the important moments of my life through a viewfinder, even her birth -- she is right!
My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic, which my parents gave me for Christmas when I was 8 years-old. I have not stopped taking pictures since! It was not until my 15th birthday that I received my first real camera (Olympus OM-2). I went on to take every photography course that my high school and college had to offer.
I finally switched to digital in 2002 and I love the medium! I enjoy the flexibility of manipulating pixels on my computer in broad daylight. I am also not afraid to take as many shots as needed to get the image I want. Digital has increased my confidence as a photographer and the quality of my work.
