The Ujena 5K Run is held at every Ujena Jam. In 2008 there will be five races and a total of $5,000 in cash ($1000 per location) will be awarded the winners.
This unique race was the idea of Bob Anderson, the owner and CEO of Ujena Swimwear and also the founder of Runners World magazine. The race is unique in that all models and photographers who compete in the Ujena Jam are required to participate in the 5k.
This is a fun event but is also attracting serious runners. At the Ujena Jam 21 in 2006, 41-year-old Lilian Kroner was our overall winner. Her time was 18:41. In 2007 Juan Carlos Joabel ran 15:53 which is the fastest time ever for the Ujena 5k.

(All of these races are held during the Ujena Jam Week. All start at 9am. The entry fee for all are $20 US dollars or 200 pesos in Mexico. $1000 of cash prizes will be awarded at each race. Medals to the first 200 finishers and t-shirts to the first 500. Enter in advance or the morning of the race. Entry fee for competing models and photographers is included in their travel packages.)

If you are competing as a model or photographer at the Ujena Jam, your entry fee is included in your package. Everyone else needs to enter and pay the $20 or 200 pesos entry fee.
